Independent verification
I, David Atherton, was appointed by Advance UK to act as independent verifier of the ballot of its members held between midday on Friday 5 June 2026 and 10pm on Sunday 7 June 2026, on the proposal to join forces with the Great British PAC. In that capacity I confirm the following.
I have no beneficial interest in, and hold no office or paid role with, either Advance UK or the Great British PAC. I had no involvement in the proposal put to members, and I have carried out this verification independently and impartially.
I was given access to the ballot records, the voting system data and audit logs, and the record of votes cast. To verify the result I reconciled the recorded votes against the membership database directly. On the basis of the records provided to me, I find the result of the ballot to be:
Votes in favour: 6442
Votes against: 921
I did not identify any evidence of tampering, duplication or alteration affecting the recorded votes. This certification is based on the records and data made available to me and on the matters set out above.
Verified by: David Atherton.
How this ballot was run
## Who could vote
Every member whose membership was active (or within the renewal grace period) and who joined before voting opened was entitled to **one vote**. Eligibility was determined from the live membership record.
## A secret ballot
Your individual choice is never linked to your name. When you voted, your choice was recorded **separately** from your identity: the system records *that* you voted — so no one can vote twice — but not *how* you voted.
## One member, one vote
Each eligible member was issued a single, unique, single-use voting link, sent only to the email address held on their membership record. Once used, a link cannot be used again.
## Independent verification
After voting closed, independent verifiers checked a sample of the people recorded as having voted against the party's membership system to confirm they were genuine, eligible members. When the result is published, the verifiers and what they found will be shown here.
